Beginner Level Dharma Teaching from 4.4.2011 to 10.4.2011 by Lama Samten.

The Karma Kagyu Dharma Society Kuala Lumpur will be conducting Beginner Level Dharma Class from 4th to 10th April 2011, Monday to Sunday.
The topics of the class include the life story of the Buddha Shakyamuni, the precious human body, the three jewels, the cause and effects, the six realms, generosity, moral discipline and patient mind.

The class will be conducted by Lama Samten who was born in Johore Bharu. He became a monk at the age of 23. He studied Buddhism and the Tibetan Language under the tutorage of Venerable Khenpo Ramesh. He had translated many Dharma texts from Tibetan to Chinese. At present, he travels to various Dharma centres in Malaysia and Singapore to conduct Dharma classes to benefit many people.
The medium of instruction depends on the requirements of the students. It can be either in Mandarin or English.
The course consists of 9 sessions of one and a half hour each. The detailed schedules as follows:

Prayers for victims in Burma / Myanmar

We will be holding special Amitabha Chang Chog prayers, mainly for the victims of the Natural Disaster in Burma / Myanmar.
The prayers will be on the 16 May 2008, from 8pm to 10pm, and we encourage as many devotees as possible to participate in this prayer session.
Teachings by Khenpo Ramesh on 'The Jewel Ornament of Liberation'

Schedule for Sojong Practice at the Centre

We have added the monthly schedule for the practice of Sojong at the centre. On one day a month lay devotees gather for this practice for purifying and restoring broken vows.
